Party of Choice?

Aren't democrats pro-choice? Then why is it that they are holding meetings with economic stratagists to eliminate the 401(k) plan, and why do they tell us we can't privitize our social security, and try to shove universal health care down our throats?

Instead of Arguing, why not live up to your parties guidelines of being pro-choice, and just simply add a few extra boxes on our w-4 forms. One to check if we want to CHOOSE to have extra taxes taken out for socialistic universal health care or not, and a box to CHOOSE to have our social security witholdings invested in private stocks/ funds, or the same failed program we've been contributing to.

 

Haven't the people spoken?

I don't get it? On one hand the liberals want to gloat that the people have spoken on wed. 11/5, but take to the streets protesting on 11/10 when the majority of people in california voted no on proposition 8. It''s absolute insanity. It's like they want to pick and choose what the people can and can't vote on. But they're stuck in a bind because they're against the gov't mandating laws...so now what is G.L.A.D. to do?

Well, here's another example. In San Francisco they voted that majority says  no guns in city limits, so no one is allowed to have a gun, typical G.L.A.D. hippie stance, but....the people spoke. Not so fast on Proposition 8 though, yes, the people spoke, but thats not FAIR.

OH WELL!!! Too Bad for G.L.A.D.  & frankly, I'm Glad to see that after this election that the country is still somewhat conservative!

Socialism Comming Soon

With the coming of the innauguration of Borack Oboma comes the agenda of move on.com, change.gov and Nancy Pilosi. I recently paid a visit to change.gov and before they "changed" it. The site stated that under the Oboma "Rule", americans will be required to serve a predetermined amount of Community Service in order to help the collective...."setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students conduct 100 hours of community service" ...In a speech Oboma gave at a college Graduation, he said" ...I think you do have an obligation..." & "...I feel you do have a debt to pay..."

Oboma better study his historic documents a bit better, the first line of the declaration of INDEPENDENCE states:

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them

Community service is not a bad thing, when its volunteering to do so. Mandatory Volunteer service is something I heard about at a chess game I had about 10 years ago...with a RUSSIAN immagrant.

I can bet you they won't be the ones doing the work either. They often have many suggestions but usually leave the work for someone else.  This was proposed to the unemployment and welfare reciepiants, and the Dem's said it was cruel and harsh to impose such a thing.

I don't like a Leader who says he/ she is for the working person when they have been career politicians, and speaks of calluses on working mans hands, when he's never had one himself. How can one know whats good for working people when he never has had to work?

People need to understand what their personal responsabilities are to themselves, their families, their employers, and their community.

Political power

Joe the Plumber has felt the sting of political power for sharing his feelings about a tax plan proposed by a politician. Fearing the negative result of Joe's comments in the voting booth, immediate action was taken to discredit Joe. His personal life, including his job and his salary were examined to find any information that could be used that would enable them to suggest that he didn't know what he was talking about. It is scary to realize that politicians have the power to obtain this information and instill a fear in common citizens to express themselves. Is this how a dictatorship begins?

Is our democracy dying?

  Currently in the USA we are losing many of our individual rights. Religious freedom has been attacked twice in recent years. The burning and armed attack in Texas and now the removal and break-up of families based supposedly on a phone call to state officials. We have become a multi language country without an official language. Free speech has been limited by those who charge that every opinion is a racist comment or chauvanistic comment. Government  corruption has contributed to a decline of voters in our elections. Why vote? Politicians will do what they want and ignore the voices of the people is a reason given by non-voters. Emminent domain or the right of government to seize property has contributed to the decline in the democratic rights of people. Are we moving toward socialism? Will the rich be forced to share their wealth with the poor? What incentive will there be for anyone to succeed?
